Cricket Without Boundaries at SOOO LDN
We’re thrilled to be joining Lacuna Sports at SOOO LDN this summer.
Style of Our Own (SOOO) is a summer-long celebration of women’s sport and the sportswear that helps women play with confidence and freedom. Hosted at 245 Regent Street in Central London, SOOO is ushering in the Summer Innings by shining a spotlight on women’s cricket.
Across three exciting days of events, CWB will be part of the action with:
- A dedicated fundraising area
- Our Head of Social Impact, Sara Begg, speaking on a panel at the networking breakfast
Registration is recommended and can be done here: https://www.styleofourown.com/pages/events
What will CWB be talking about?
Playing with Confidence
Playing with Confidence is a women-led initiative within CWB exploring how the right underwear can support girls to participate in sport - and other areas of life - with greater confidence.
We’re launching a pilot project in Eastern Uganda, where girls will attend a two-day cricket festival. Alongside cricket training, matches, and workshops on women’s health, they will trial sports bras and period pants designed and produced by Lacuna Sports.
With support from Bat for a Chance, we’ll also be supplying cricket equipment - bats, pads, gloves, helmets, and more - to the girls’ local community hubs.
Lacuna is providing the underwear at cost, and we are fundraising to cover manufacturing, shipping, local transport, food, and educational materials.
Support the project by donating towards the cost of a bra or pair of period pants today!
Ishq and the Cricket Changemakers
Ishq and the Cricket Changemakers is a powerful story of change from our cricket hubs in Nepal, developed with the MCC Foundation, Nepal Cricket Foundation, and Sabal Nepal.
Written by the girls who participate in the programme, the story reflects their experiences and the positive changes they’ve seen in their lives and communities. This summer, we distributed the book to all participating schools, where girls spoke about how Ishq’s journey resonated with their own - especially the importance of family support in enabling them to play.
You can now get your own copy of the book - an inspiring read for any young person, especially those who love cricket. We recommend a donation of £5!
All donations for the book will go toward our current fundraiser to build a toilet our community cricket ground in Biratnagar. This project is vital to ensuring a safe, inclusive space for girls to play and learn. Find out more or donate here: https://donate.giveasyoulive.com/campaign/toilet-facilities-biratnagar
Volunteer with Cricket Without Boundaries
2025 marks our 20th anniversary. Over the last two decades, we’ve delivered over a million moments of joy and learning through cricket across 13 countries!
Our ongoing projects in Nepal, Brazil, Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda are supported by UK-based volunteer trips each spring and autumn. Volunteers work alongside local coaches to introduce thousands of young people to cricket and use the game to support meaningful, lasting change.
We are now recruiting for our Spring 2026 projects.
Applications close on 22 August 2025 – we’d love to have you join us.
