Volunteers are at the heart of Cricket Without Boundaries’ work. From volunteering on 2-week mass-participation focused projects in our partner countries, to giving time in the UK to continue to grow and develop the work of the charity or deliver our UK-based projects. Once you volunteer with us you become part of the CWB family.
Our international projects provide an amazing opportunity to make a genuine impact - you will help ensure that children in communities around the world enjoy the thrill of participating in fun, inclusive sport, by working as part of a team of fellow volunteers, in-country coaches, and CWB Ambassadors to deliver mass-participation sessions at schools and cricket festivals.
By volunteering on our overseas projects, you can help us to:
Volunteering for CWB is the best thing I have ever done. Having the opportunity to teach cricket and important health messages to thousands of kids in Rwanda has enriched my own life with the most wonderful experience. If you want to be involved with a unique charity, then you should get in touch with CWB. It's the perfect mix of cricket, travel and being able to use your skills to give something back to the people that really need it.
We currently run volunteer projects to Brazil, Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda and Nepal. Our trips usually last two weeks (a one week option is usually available to coincide with school holidays) and are normally packed full to ensure the maximum impact in the country. Each project is made up of 8-10 volunteers to ensure that the group can handle the numbers of children and split up if necessary. Nepal is typically a smaller group.
Each team will have an experienced volunteer as their team leader, who will coordinate with local ambassadors to arrange all the in-country logistics.
You will typically travel to two or three different areas during a project. In each location, the team would run a day of coach education, a couple of days of schools coaching (3 or 4 schools a day) culminating in a schools festival day at the end of the week.
Typically, there will be a day-off to get the opportunity to experience the culture and incredible scenery that each country has to offer.

We’re really excited that you’re considering volunteering with us and helping us to change lives for the better.
