COVID-19 update
Like everyone, the team at Cricket Without Boundaries, our partner Cricket Associations, and the communities we work with year-round, are feeling the effects of COVID-19.
School and workplace closures, social distancing measures, and all the necessary steps that are being taken around the world to limit the spread of the virus mean the world we work in has been turned upside down.
As an organisation that is committed to strengthening and empowering communities, and using sport for good, Cricket Without Boundaries recognises the small role we can play in the global response to this pandemic. With that in mind, over the coming weeks and months we will be:
- Continuing to support our Ambassadors throughout school closures, both with ongoing funding of their posts and with digitally delivered training and mentoring on topics including: player welfare, safety and safeguarding; cricket coaching observation and analysis; and new activity development.
- Working with our Cricket Association and other partners on organisational capacity building projects.
- Helping keep our Ambassadors, participants, volunteers and supporters active with regular virtual “cricket” challenges with integrated health and social messages, linked to a range of issues including action we can take to slow the spread of COVID-19.
We know that this is a difficult period for all around the world, and we want to thank our volunteers, ambassadors, and supporters for their continued enthusiasm, help and solidarity.
