Brandenburg Choral Festival
When it comes to the word “classical”, you’ll usually find the CWB Family using it relation to a cover drive or a bowling action. In 2014 however, we are spreading our wings to the world of classical music and want you to join us!
CWB has been invited by the Brandenburg Choral Festival to be an official charity of what is London’s biggest annual choral event. We will be the featured charity on the evening of Tuesday, 25th of February at the beautiful St Martin in the Fields church on Trafalgar Square (www.stmartin-in-the-fields.org) and have tickets available for the evening for £14 (£5 for children) – for each ticket sold, CWB will receive £5.
The concert, which kicks off at 7.30pm, is “Fauré Requiem by candlelight” and features:
- Messiaen – “O sacrum convivium”
- Duruflé – “Four motets”
- Philippe Maze – “Ave Maria”
The Addison Chamber Choir is performing and they will be conducted by David Wordsworth.
This promises to be a magical evening, and a superb opportunity to promote the work of CWB to a new audience. We would love to have as many supporters there as possible, so please click on the button below to get your tickets now. We will likely be organizing a short drinks reception either before or after the concert – details will be sent to ticketholders.
