Fancy trying something new? Want to volunteer in Africa? Fancy using cricket to help others? We are recruiting for volunteers to go on trips in Autumn 2014 and Spring 2015!

Our two week trips are open to everyone over 18, from qualified cricket coaches' right through to those who just want to help out and make a difference. The key aim for every trip is to use cricket as a tool for fighting HIV/AIDS whilst ensuring fun is had by the children, coaches and volunteers. A can-do attitude is a must along with a willingness to help those in some of the world's poorest communities.

Each trip has a Project Leader to organise logistics and an ECB tutor to manage the cricket development. After applying, you will be asked to attend an interview (more of a chance for you to ask us questions about the projects and what to expect, rather than a grilling!) and then if you are successful you will be assigned to a project, after taking into consideration your preferences. Before embarking on the trip there will be a training weekend which will give you all the information you need before you depart with your team (teams are usually 6-10 people).

This is a special recruitment drive for CWB as it is led by our new Recruitment team. The team is headed up by Julie Tegg, who brings a wealth of volunteer management and recruitment in both professional and voluntary roles. Julie said 'I am delighted to join the CWB family and looking forward to working with new volunteers. There are opportunities for not only those who have a wealth of experience in cricket but also all those other sports enthusiasts like myself who have never played cricket. Completing the new team is Holly Colvin, CWB ambassador and England women's spinner. Holly brings two trips worth of experience as well as fantastic sporting links and experience of working with the Lord's Taverners volunteers. Holly said 'having been on two CWB trips, I can wholeheartedly recommend volunteering on a trip. It is an opportunity not only to change lives in Africa but also your own!'

Volunteers are required to pay for their own flight and fundraise at least £750 for the charity. Accommodation, in country travel and kit is provided.
