CWB goes from strength to strength!
Cricket Without Boundaries (CWB) has made two key appointments in technical roles as the charity seeks to increase its work on HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention as a delivery partner for the ICC THINKWISE programme.
Will McLaren-Clark has been appointed to the post of Head of CWB's HIV/AIDS group while Amardeep Singh will be the charity's HIV/AIDS specialist.
The appointments will help to provide greater focus and expertise for the charity's HIV/AIDs awareness work.
Ed Williams, CWB Trustee, said: "Raising awareness of HIV to save lives and empower those who participate in the charity's activities is key to what CWB is seeking to achieve which is why having two people with the energy, insight and experience of Will and Amardeep is such a boost.
"Both Will and Amardeep have already proven to be tremendous assets to CWB and these two roles will be key to enabling us to achieve even more.
"Since Will first volunteered to go on a CWB project, he has continued to be involved in a variety of roles and his experience and understanding of the charity's work will be invaluable in this area of activity.
"We have also appointed Amardeep Singh as the charity's HIV/AIDs specialist.
"Amardeep is currently the lead HIV pharmacist at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospital NHS Trust so having him supporting our work from that position will be a huge boost for us.
"He proved himself a fantastic member of the Spring 2012 Kenya project and we are delighted that he is now taking this role."
