Flintoff on his way to Botswana
Cricket legend Andrew Flintoff on his way to Botswana.
Following reports that Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff is heading to Botswana to film a new reality show Will McLaren-Clarke, Cricket Without Boundaries Botswana country leader has offered some advice.
"Botswana is a fantastic place. Cricket Without Boundaries' first project in this wonderful country was back in 2009 – in fact we were preparing to fly out just as Freddie was helping bowl England to his second Ashes victory.
"If he gets to travel around, Freddie might just be surprised at the quality of cricket he could come across in Botswana."
"In '09 our team was based in Gaborone, before venturing north to Mochudi in week one, then we coached in and around 'Gabs' and in Ramotswa on our second. We coached just over 1300 children from 18 government schools during our afternoon sessions and we managed to train 57 teachers through their preliminary ICC coaching qualification, hopefully leaving behind some real sustainable cricketing skills behind us.
Since then CWB returned in 2010 and we're going back this Autumn. Maybe we'll bump into Freddie.
