World AIDS Day 2019: Communities make the difference

The global theme for World AIDS Day in 2019 is Communities Make The Difference.

It's a recognition of the hard work that communities have already put in to the fight against HIV, and the vital role communities will continue to play in the years ahead, as we take up the next battle, to work together to ensure all who are living with HIV have access to the health services and, crucially, the community support they need to live long happy lives.

So shout out to the students, teachers, coaches, cricket associations, volunteers and Ambassadors who make up the Cricket Without Boundaries community - thank you for all you do, and we're looking forward to continuing to work together to bring an end to HIV.

If you want to read a little more about our participant and community centred project developing new educational resources for cricket coaches, check out our special feature on SportandDev, and watch the video below:

Want to help us do more of this? A monthly donation of just £10/month buys all the equipment needed for a hub of schools in East Africa, to build a new community using cricket for change.
